LED technology dimming improve sleep, LED luminous efficiency greatly improved, Seoul semiconductor performance released
1. Improvement of sleep and mood in patients with LED technique
The lighting research center of the New York nonylex Institute of technology in the United States conducted an illumination experiment. It was pointed out that Alzheimer's patients in a convalescent hospital had a chance to improve sleep and emotional problems under the light of light like light.
Researchers conducted at least 43 weeks of experiments in 43 out of three states, 37 of which lasted longer than half a year. According to the habits of sanatorium patients, researchers will provide tables with LED lighting or provide single room lighting. Since lighting stimulates the brain part of the melatonin hormone and regularized the body's activities, more than half of the patients have improved their performance in sleep disturbance and depression after the experiment.
2. The luminescence efficiency of LED is greatly improved
A research team from University College of Cork in Istanbul, Turkey, has developed an efficient LED. The researchers placed quantum dots in liquid directly into the LED device, and the luminous efficiency was 50% higher than that of the solid-state quantum dots.
The researchers covered LED with a transparent polymethylsiloxane (PDMS) lens and injected the liquid with a colloidal quantum dot in the lens to make color conversion luminescence. After injecting the liquid, the lens will automatically repair the hole and prevent the liquid from leaking out.
The researchers pointed out that when the quantum dots were removed from the liquid and used in solid form, the emission efficiency would be reduced. The efficiency of the loss is called the matrix effect. Through the liquid, high quantum yield and adjustable quantum dots, the researchers successfully suppressed the matrix effect.
Due to the decrease of the matrix effect, the luminous efficiency is also greatly increased in LED with red, blue and green light as the light source. Each watt can be 64 LM, with green and blue LED as the light source, which can reach 105 LM per watt.
3. Seoul semiconductor 2Q18 performance
Recently, Seoul Semiconductor Corporation disclosed its second quarter 2018 results. 2Q18, the company realized the combined income of 290 billion won (RMB 1 billion 721 million yuan), which was in line with the expected target (2800-3000 billion won), and achieved the operating income of 18 billion won (RMB 107 million yuan, tax interest depreciation and amortized profit (EBITDA) 45 billion won (about 267 million yuan).
