There are several different types of POE (Power over Ethernet) cameras, depending on their power requirements and network connectivity types. Here are some common types of POE cameras:

1. Standard POE: This is the most common type of POE camera, compliant with the IEEE 802.3af standard. They can transmit video data and power using standard Ethernet cables like Cat5 or Cat6, providing a maximum power of 15.4 watts.

2. POE+ (Power over Ethernet Plus): POE+ cameras also comply with the IEEE 802.3af standard but can deliver higher power. POE+ can provide up to 30 watts of power, suitable for cameras or other network devices with higher power requirements.

3. Ultra POE: Ultra POE cameras comply with the IEEE 802.3bt standard, also known as 4PPoE (4-Pair Power over Ethernet). They can deliver higher power, up to 60 watts or more, to meet the power demands of devices like high-resolution cameras, thermal imaging cameras, etc.

4. Passive POE: Passive POE cameras do not comply with any IEEE standards and use specific power transmission schemes. Passive POE cameras typically have custom power adapters and connectors and may not be compatible with standard POE network devices.

It's important to note that the compatibility of POE cameras may vary, so when selecting a camera, make sure to understand its power requirements and supported POE standards to ensure compatibility with your network equipment and power supply devices.
