Australia's CEFC announced it would invest up to $200m alongside ANZ Bank
The Australian government's Green Bank has expanded its partnership with the Australia and New Zealand Banking Group with a commitment of up to $200 million as part of the Clean Energy Asset Purchase Program to help Australian businesses invest in energy efficient and renewable technologies to reduce costs and reduce emissions.
For upgrades and new investments in renewable energy technologies, including the installation of solar PV and energy storage and the purchase of electric vehicles.
"SMES are an important part of the Australian economy," said Ian Learmonth, chief executive of CEFC. "As the cost of energy and other inputs continues to rise, it's important to help them reap the benefits that renewable energy, battery storage and energy efficient devices can bring."

The Energy Efficiency Commission estimates that energy efficiency improvements have the potential to save households and businesses up to 7.7 billion dollars a year on their energy bills.
