The mirror of the sea shows a different "light" color.

"The mirror of the sea" is a dazzling skyline of CBD in southern Sydney. It is the lighting device of the French lighting division Yann Kersale, which provides a possibility for the realization of the "green" concept of the whole building. The project is also a product of perfect cooperation between architects and lighting designers.

The device consists of 320 mobile daylight reflectors and 2880 LED lamps for seasonal programming. Each solar reflector has 9 LED lights and independent URL addresses. Every Thursday to Sunday, it will begin to show the light show at dusk until ten p. m.

Inspired by the Sydney Harbour and the changing seasons, the work shows the changing seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter through a mirror "revolving performance". Each of the 320 solar reflection devices is used to capture the color change of Sydney port. As a permanent device, it will become one of the cultural symbols of the city.

The rooftop of the West Tower is installed with mirrors. During the day, the mirror will reflect the light to the mirror of the sea. Light is reflected through the Mirror of the Sea into the vertical gardens of the two towers, the retail district atrium of the East Tower, the pool platform and adjacent parks. This complex light reflection is first applied to the design of tower high-rise residential buildings in Australia.

The light reflected by the mirror of the sea is not a pure reflection, but is processed. It can release the light that is completely incompatible with the present season, and even in the midwinter, it can release the summer sun.

The project was controversial at the outset of its design, and the public even accused designers of being vain and making such designs. Of course, under the effort of the designer, the "unusual" cantilever structure is finally realized, a "cantilever" from the twenty-ninth floor of the building.

"In the field of navigation, the port of Sydney is very mysterious," said Kersale, a lighting division. The sailor like me has the opportunity to capture the sea rhyme in this way and indirectly reflect the harbour with a solar reflector, which eventually forms a poetic geographical indication."
