Schneider Electric's global customer survey found that 72 percent of consumers made reducing carbon emissions a personal priority.
The results of a global survey, which found that almost 86 per cent of consumers believe that climate change will cause energy bills to rise if global temperatures rise by more than 1.5°C.
The study also found that 72 percent of respondents consider reducing their carbon emissions a personal priority. More than half (55 percent) of respondents said they "value" their home becoming net-zero pollution, but only 31 percent think it is likely to happen. About 40 percent of respondents said smart home technology will help make their homes more sustainable. More than half (54%) of respondents said they expect their new home or apartment to be equipped with such technology, up 13% from last year's survey.
