About the Dragon Boat Festival
The Dragon Boat Festival is one of the most important traditional festivals in China, with a history of more than 2,000 years:
- It originated to commemorate Qu Yuan, a patriotic poet in ancient China, and has been listed as a national intangible cultural heritage.
- Core traditional customs include dragon boat racing, hanging wormwood and calamus, and eating sticky rice dumplings (known as Zongzi), all carrying the meaning of praying for health, peace and good fortune.
- It is also a statutory public holiday in China, a time for family reunion and rest for working people.
2026 Dragon Boat Festival Holiday Schedule
To allow all staff to spend the festival with their families, the company has arranged the holiday as follows:
- The official holiday period is June 19 (Wednesday) to June 21 (Friday), totaling 3 consecutive days.
- All departments will resume normal work and business operations on June 22 (Saturday).
