Germany has introduced tax breaks for photovoltaic systems
The German government continues to implement measures to support small photovoltaic installations in response to the energy crisis. The tax break is intended to support solar systems up to 30kW.
From the beginning of 2023, all photovoltaic systems in Germany that operate on single-family or commercial property and produce 30kW or less will not have to pay any income tax on the amount of electricity produced. In approving the rule, the federal government also took advantage of the leeway provided by the new EU VAT law.
